Kleancolor - Neon Purple, swatch

Since the summer here in Sweden has been really hot this year, the area I live in was the hottest in whole Europe (!) this week, which isn't often, I decided to show something really appropriate for that; which is neon. However, Neon Purple isn't a "real neon" per ce, it's too dark but it's a fun and bright purple creme with a slight red-toned shimmer in it appearing in some lights. It also covers pretty well in and 2 coats was used below. I really like this color and hope you like my swatches.

Sunlight.

Flourecent light.
As you see I included a lot of photos, the first ones are in natural light, then the one in sunlight and the last one with flourecent light shows a bit of the shimmer. :)

Native american tribal nail art

Hi! Today I'm showing a Native american tribal nail art, I know there's a lot of them out there in different version but I decided for a divided look with one side which is more "crazy" and the other one being more subtle with a gradient going from white, nude and to antique gold. Here you go;

See the gold at the bottom of the gradient? :)

Alanna Renee - Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails

Despite trying to get time for the blog during the week time just fly by without me having the time for anything fun. Luckily my summer job will end in the beginning of August so then I at least will have more time for fun stuff, like nails, blogging and reading blogs..

Anyhow, let's have a look at a new brand for this blog; Alanna Renee. I actually bought a bunch of polishes a while back and today I'm showing Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails. Isn't that the funniest name ever btw?

Snips & Snails & Puppy Dog Tails is a glitter polish with shiny red and shiny blue middle size hexagons + small blue and red shiny glitters in a clear base. Of course one option is to layer the glitter over another color but I decided to try to make it cover, which from what I remember took like 5 coats. I also tried the polish with matte tc, which was my favorite when I wore it, however looking at the pictures now I almost think that the shiny version is better.. ;)

The picture just above is in lamp light and the pictures below is with matte tc.

What's your favorite: ,matte or shiny version? And do you have any Alanna Renee? :D

Black and white houndstooth freehand nail art

Think I've mentioned it before, but houndstooth is my favorite pattern since some years ago and just this week I actually bought a black and white houndstooth bikini(!) That reminded me about this manicure I did last year. Honestly I just adore this and even though it took serious amount to freehand the pattern on both hands it was so worth it! :D And as you might have seen I also love studded manicures but I wish that the studs in this manicure would have been silver instead of gold, but it's still a favorite manicure ;)  This manicure also contains one of my favorite polishes; W7 - Salt n Pepper. And since it Sunday I finally can join Nail Art Sunday! :)

Layering with Etude house - #121 Boom Boom Boom

Hi! Posting every day just failed..however today I have a layering done with with Etude house over a subtle gray gradient.

I saw Boom Boom Boom at ebay and knew I wanted to grab it. It has matte diamond shaped glitter in white, red, black and purple, and also glittery silver diamond shaped glitter, and then matte black and white string glitter in a clear base.

I like the concept of this (it's btw also my first polish with diamond shaped glitter) but as usual I don't like the combo of glittery glitter+ matte glitter in the same polish. And to complain a bit more the string glitter was of the long kind (I like string glitter but I prefer the short type). Basically this is 3 or 4 "dabbing and placing" coats. Not my favorite but still totally unique in my collection.

Polishes used:
Etude house - #121 Boom Boom Boom

HM - Miss Stone Heart
Kleancolor - Concrete Gray

What do you think? Got any proposals for base colors for this one?

White gradient with red rhinestones

Hi! Sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday but working late shifts two days in  row doesn't help much. However, for today I have a nail art I really like that I want to show you. It's from last year, in August and my nails where suuuper long ;) Basically I've here made a white to transparent gradient using a creme white and a skin toned jelly and then red rhinestones on top. I could totally see myself in this but with other rhinestone colors too. I've actually already tried it in green. Hope you like! :D
